For over 80 years, Beam Construction has been hard at work in Piedmont regions of North and South Carolina. We have successfully completed a wide range of projects including educational and healthcare facilities, religious institutions and office complexes. Our projects have ranged from 5,000 to more than 350,000 square feet in size, and every square foot embodies quality construction and detail work.
We are especially proud of our educational facilities. We have an excellent history of working with Boney and LS3P on School Projects to successfully complete our projects in budget and on schedule.
We accommodate your needs during the construction process. For example, we recently completed over 79,000 Sq ft. of renovations in four separate buildings at Gaston College. We completed the project four months ahead of schedule while Gaston College occupied all spaces!
Our thorough knowledge of North Carolina codes and requirements streamlines work and inspections and eliminates costly surprises. We work closely with Local Building Inspectors to achieve preferred inspection schedules.
Personnel
We have extensive personnel at all levels of employment with experience and expertise in the construction industry. We have a current staff of ten project superintendents, four masonry foremen, and numerous skilled trade personnel who oversee our more than 160 full-time field employees. Our office staff includes five project managers/estimators. And our vice-President of Operations oversees all the field operations.
Our principals have over 100 years of combined experience.
Our crews have the best training available. Beam's apprenticeship program is registered with the North Carolina Department of Labor. Furthermore, our employees strive for excellence through Craft Worker Training, Safety Initiatives and Quality Control. These standards define our projects; that's why we employ our own carpentry, masonry, concrete and steel erection crews.
We assign your project a Project Manager and a Jobsite Superintendent. Both these professionals will be dedicated to your project and will personally assist both client and design team whenever necessary.
Through our long experience in the Piedmont region we have acquired access to the best specialty subcontractors available. By seeking scheduling input from our subcontractors, and maintaining high level communication with them, we avoid costly and unexpected delays.

We employ our own masons, carpenters, welders, and brick layers. By having our own crews perform these critical services, we ensure both their quality and timely completion. This gives us a unique advantage over our competitors.
Computer generated schedules and competitive pricing keep your project on time and within budget. Our contracts include detailed statements and many options for customer review. We offer Guaranteed Maximum Contracts as well.
We have a Project Manager and Jobsite Superintendent dedicated to your project. They answer your queries, advise the design team when necessary and commit their expertise throughout the building process.
